Pineapple Crackle Salad is a sweet, creamy, no-bake side dish (or dessert) that's popular at potlucks, holiday dinners, and summer gatherings. The "crackle" usually comes from crunchy toppings like toffee bits, pretzels, or chopped nuts.
🛒 Ingredients
1 (20 oz / 565 g) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1 (8 oz / 225 g) container whipped topping, thawed
1 (3.4 oz / 96 g) package instant vanilla pudding mix (dry)
1 cup mini marshmallows
½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
¼ cup toffee bits or crushed pretzels (optional, for the "crackle")
👩🍳 Instructions
Drain the pineapple thoroughly to prevent the salad from becoming watery.
In a large bowl, combine the crushed pineapple and the dry pudding mix. Stir until well mixed.
Fold in the whipped topping until smooth.
Add the mini marshmallows and chopped nuts, if using.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend.
Just before serving, sprinkle the toffee bits or crushed pretzels over the top if you'd like a crunchy finish.
