1. Prepare the Brownie Base
Melt the butter and stir in the sugar until well combined. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until glossy. Gently fold in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt just until everything comes together—overmixing can make your brownies dry instead of fudgy.
2. Bake
Pour the batter into a parchment-lined pan. Bake until the center is set but still slightly soft. Your kitchen will soon be filled with the irresistible aroma of chocolate—an early taste test is tempting but resist!
3. Cool Completely
Allow the brownies to cool fully in the pan. Chilled brownies cut more cleanly into neat squares or bars.
4. Slice
Cut the cooled brownies into bars or squares, depending on your preferred size.
5. Coat in Chocolate
Melt the chocolate (with a teaspoon of coconut oil if using) in a double boiler or microwave. Dip each brownie piece, letting excess chocolate drip off, then place onto parchment paper to set.
6. Chill & Enjoy
Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate hardens. Now comes the hard part: trying not to devour more than one… or three!
