🛒 What You’ll Need
🍗 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
🍺 1 can (12 oz) beer or non-alcoholic beer
🧅 1 packet dry onion soup mix
Plus a little cooking oil for browning.
👩🍳 How to Make It
1️⃣ Brown the chicken.
Pat the chicken dry and lightly season with pepper if desired. Heat a little oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken for about 2–3 minutes per side.
2️⃣ Add the flavor. 🧅
Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the chicken.
4️⃣ Simmer.
Bring the liquid to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat. Cover and cook for about 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) internally.
5️⃣ Let the sauce thicken.
Remove the lid during the last few minutes if needed, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
6️⃣ Serve it hot! 🍗
Spoon the savory sauce over the chicken and serve with your favorite sides.
✨ Want to Make It Your Own?
🥔 Serve it over creamy mashed potatoes.
🍞 Add crusty bread for soaking up the sauce.
🥕 Serve with roasted carrots or green beans.
🌿 Sprinkle with fresh parsley for a little color.
💡 A Little Tip
Use a thermometer to check the chicken rather than relying only on cooking time. Chicken is ready when the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C).
If you prefer not to cook with alcohol, a non-alcoholic beer can be used instead.
