🛒 What You’ll Need
🍖 4 boneless pork chops, about ¾-inch thick
🤎 ½ cup packed brown sugar
🧈 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
🧂 1 teaspoon salt
🌑 ½ teaspoon black pepper
🌶️ ½ teaspoon paprika
🫒 1 tablespoon olive oil
👩🍳 How to Make Them
1️⃣ Prepare the pork.
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2️⃣ Make the brown sugar glaze.
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, melted butter, and minced garlic until combined.
3️⃣ Sear the chops.
Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for about 2–3 minutes per side, just until nicely browned.
4️⃣ Add the glaze. 🤎
Remove the skillet from the heat and spoon the brown sugar mixture over the pork chops, coating them well.
5️⃣ Bake.
Transfer the skillet to a preheated 375°F (190°C) oven. Bake until the pork reaches 145°F (63°C) internally, allowing it to rest for at least 3 minutes afterward.
6️⃣ Let that glaze shine! ✨
Spoon some of the warm pan juices over the pork before serving.
✨ Want to Make Them Your Own?
🍎 Add thinly sliced apples to the skillet for a sweet fall-inspired version.
🌶️ Add a pinch of cayenne for a sweet-and-spicy kick.
🍊 Add a splash of orange juice for a bright citrus note.
🌿 Sprinkle with fresh thyme or rosemary before serving.
💡 A Little Tip
Don't overcook the pork. Use an instant-read thermometer rather than relying only on cooking time. Pork chops can go from juicy to dry quickly, and checking the internal temperature helps keep them tender.
