🥪🐟 Classic Tuna Salad — Simple, Nostalgic & Always a Favorite

🛒 What You’ll Need

🐟 2 cans tuna, drained well

🥄 1/3 cup mayonnaise, plus more if needed

🥬 1/3 cup finely chopped celery

🧅 2 tbsp finely chopped onion

🥒 1–2 tbsp sweet pickle relish, optional

🌶️ 1/4 tsp black pepper

🧂 Salt, to taste

🍋 1 tsp lemon juice, optional

👩‍🍳 How to Make It

1️⃣ Drain the tuna

Drain the tuna really well and place it in a bowl.

Flake it gently with a fork.

2️⃣ Add the good stuff

Stir in the mayonnaise, celery, onion, and relish if you're using it.

3️⃣ Season

Add black pepper, a little salt, and lemon juice if desired.

Mix until creamy but still pleasantly chunky.

4️⃣ Chill and enjoy

Cover and refrigerate for about 20–30 minutes if you have time.

That little bit of chilling lets the flavors come together beautifully. 😋

✨ So Many Ways to Serve It

🥪 Piled onto toasted bread

🥬 Scooped over crisp lettuce

🍘 Served with crackers

🥐 Tucked into a croissant

🥒 Spoon it into cucumber cups

🥑 Serve alongside avocado

And yes—sometimes the best way is simply straight from the bowl with a fork. 😂

💡 A Little Tip

The secret to great tuna salad is getting the texture right.

Start with less mayonnaise and add more gradually until it's creamy enough for you.

And don't skip the celery if you like a little crunch—it makes such a difference!
