🥚🧀🥓 Low-Carb Ham and Cheese Breakfast Bake — A Hearty Breakfast Without the Bread!

👩‍🍳 How to Make It

1️⃣ Get the Oven Ready

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

2️⃣ Whisk the Eggs

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until smooth.

Season with salt and black pepper.

3️⃣ Add the Filling

Stir in the diced ham, shredded cheddar, and onion.

Mix everything together so the ham and cheese are evenly distributed.

4️⃣ Pour & Bake

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Bake for approximately 30–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

The middle should be firm but still tender.

5️⃣ Let It Rest

Take the casserole out of the oven and let it rest for about 5–10 minutes before slicing.

That little pause helps everything set nicely.

Then grab a fork and dig in! 🥚❤️

✨ Easy Ways to Change It Up

🥦 Broccoli & cheddar: Add chopped cooked broccoli.

🌿 Spinach & feta: Swap some of the cheddar for feta and add fresh spinach.

🍄 Mushroom & Swiss: Sauté sliced mushrooms and use Swiss cheese.

🌶️ A Little Heat: Add diced jalapeños or a pinch of red pepper flakes.

🥓 Ham & Bacon: Add a little cooked bacon for an extra savory breakfast.

💡 A Little Tip

Don't overbake it.

The casserole will continue cooking slightly after you remove it from the oven, so take it out once the center is just set.

Also, if your ham is particularly salty, taste the mixture before adding much extra salt.
