→ LET’S MAKE THESE CRUNCHY LITTLE TREATS! ♥
STEP 1 — PREHEAT THE OVEN
Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
STEP 2 — ARRANGE THE PRETZELS
Spread the mini pretzels evenly across the baking sheet. If necessary, use two pans so the pretzels aren't piled too deeply.
STEP 3 — MAKE THE BUTTERY TOFFEE
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and stir until combined.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes thick and bubbly.
Carefully remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the vanilla, baking soda, and optional salt. The mixture will foam up slightly, so use a sufficiently large saucepan.
STEP 4 — COAT THE PRETZELS
Immediately pour the hot toffee over the pretzels. Using a heat-resistant spatula, gently toss until as many pretzels as possible are coated.
Work carefully—the toffee will be extremely hot!
STEP 5 — BAKE UNTIL CRISP
Bake for 45–60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to redistribute the coating and help the pretzels bake evenly.
The toffee should look set and glossy. Avoid letting it darken too much, as the sugar can burn.
STEP 6 — ADD A CHOCOLATE TOUCH
If you love chocolate, remove the pretzels from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the warm pretzels, wait until softened, then drizzle or spread the melted chocolate gently.
Add chopped nuts or a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt if desired.
STEP 7 — COOL AND CRUNCH!
Allow the pretzels to cool completely on the baking sheet. Break apart any clusters and transfer them to an airtight container.
Now comes the hardest part—trying not to eat them all at once! ♥

✧ LITTLE SECRETS FOR PERFECT TOFFEE PRETZELS ✧
★ Use a rimmed baking sheet. The hot toffee can spread, so keep everything safely contained.
★ Stir regularly while baking. This helps distribute the coating and prevents uneven browning.
★ Don't rush the cooling process. The toffee becomes crisp as it cools.
★ Want extra chocolate? Dip half of each cooled pretzel cluster in melted chocolate for a beautiful finish.
★ Love a nutty crunch? Add chopped pecans, almonds, or peanuts after coating.
★ Keep them fresh. Store completely cooled pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, away from heat and humidity.
