Instructions
Step 1:
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and vanilla until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Step 2:
In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Step 3:
Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
Step 4:
Stir in the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Step 5:
Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 1½ inches apart on a baking sheet.
Step 6:
Bake at 325°F (160°C) for about 20 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly golden.
Step 7:
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack. Once cooled, roll them generously in powdered sugar before serving.
