π What You’ll Need
π 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
π° 1 box yellow cake mix
That’s it!
π©π³ How to Make Them
1️⃣ Prepare the Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
2️⃣ Mix the Ingredients
Pour the entire can of crushed pineapple, including the juice, into a large bowl.
Add the dry cake mix.
Stir just until combined.
The batter will be thick and moist—don't worry, that's exactly what you want.
3️⃣ Spread It Out
Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking pan.
Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer.
4️⃣ Bake π
Bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
5️⃣ Cool & Cut
Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares.
For cleaner slices, chill them for a little while before serving.
✨ Want to Dress Them Up?
The recipe is delicious as-is, but if you want to add toppings, try:
π₯₯ Shredded coconut
π₯ Chopped pecans
π¦ Vanilla ice cream
π A little lemon glaze
π Extra pineapple on top
Just remember: once you add extras, it’s no longer technically a 2-ingredient dessert. π
π‘ A Little Tip
Make sure you use crushed pineapple with its juice, not drained pineapple.
That liquid is what helps bring the dry cake mix together and gives the bars their soft, fruity texture.
