⚖️ The Case for Letting Adults Order Them
There are plenty of perfectly reasonable situations.
👵 An older adult may prefer a smaller portion.
🍽️ Someone with a small appetite may not want a full entrée.
💰 A customer may simply be trying to spend less and avoid wasting food.
🥗 Someone might want a lighter meal rather than a huge plate.
And honestly… sometimes the kids’ menu has the best stuff! 😂
Chicken tenders, grilled cheese, mini burgers, mac and cheese…
Why should children have all the fun?
🚫 Why Some Restaurants Say No
On the other hand, restaurants aren’t required to make every menu item available to every customer.
Kids’ meals may be intentionally priced as part of a restaurant’s family offering. If large numbers of adults regularly ordered them, the restaurant could lose sales on higher-priced entrées.
So from the business side, an age restriction can make sense.
👀 But What Do YOU Think?
Should restaurants simply let anyone order a kids’ meal?
Or should they be able to say, “Sorry, kids’ menu is for kids only”?
And what about adults who just want a smaller portion—should restaurants offer a half-size or smaller adult meal instead?
💬 Where do you stand?
A) Let adults order kids’ meals—who cares? 🍟
B) Kids’ meals should be for kids. 👧
C) Restaurants should offer smaller adult portions instead. 🍽️
D) If I’m paying, I should be able to order whatever I want! 😂
Let’s settle this in the comments!
